Boise, Idaho is the fastest growing metro area in the United States and it’s no mystery why. There’s not just something here for everyone …. there are MANY things here for everyone! From its’ thriving, hip (and amazingly clean) yet unintimidating downtown area with a river running through it, to the outlying suburban communities and business districts, rural farmlands and vast foothills, to the forested mountain wilderness and high desert canyonlands, this area known as the “Treasure Valley” and beyond is indeed a special place.
It is without a doubt an absolute outdoor enthusiast’s paradise! Within 5 to 15 minutes of downtown Boise, you can experience high quality mountain and road biking, fishing and paddling on the Boise River, running and hiking on foothills trails, superb golf courses, power boating, waterskiing, paddle boarding and the list goes on. If you just want to go for a stroll or a casual bike ride …. “The Greenbelt” provides 30 miles of pleasant, scenic, treelined smooth pavement to enjoy along the Boise River for pedaling and walking. If you must stay in town, there’s plenty of well-kept and equipped parks to enjoy activities or just relax with family and friends. For the more brazen thrill-seeker types, world class whitewater, mountain backpacking and alpine skiing can be found, some of it less than an hour outside of town …. But that’s a whole “nother” story!
If live music, dining out and craft beer is your thing, the greater Boise area offers some of the best in the Northwest. Most any night of the week (and especially from Wednesday through Saturday), you can find music of all genres (national and local bands) and fine or casual dining along with an extensive array of outstanding local breweries and establishments to enjoy.
When it comes to sporting events and scholastic athletics, there’s always something going on in the Treasure Valley. From kids after-school soccer programs, optimist football and high school basketball, to minor league baseball and the world-famous Blue Turf and Taco Bell Arena …. home of the Boise State Broncos, you’ll be hard-pressed to find another region anywhere with a similar population that offers more.
We all like to play, but most of us have to earn a living as well. Due in large part to its’ growing nature, Treasure Valley residents typically enjoy a moderate to robust economy even when many other areas of the nation do not. A wide array of employment and self-employment opportunities exist in this thriving oasis. From entry level to upper management and beyond, if you have drive, desire and skills, you can build your empire here just like so many who already have.
There’s just something about this place. You hear it all the time about the friendly people, how kind, generous and willing to help each other they are. It’s no fluke, there’s a high quality of life to be had here, no question about it …. And it’s waiting for you!
