Primarily a residential community with supporting retail and service oriented businesses, Meridian Idaho is largely comprised of subdivided neighborhoods, retail strip malls and patches of remaining farmland amongst the urban sprawl. It’s population is just over 100,000 and climbing briskly. However it still offers convenient, clean and relatively quiet living for those not looking for “big city” life.
With unemployment and crime rates well below the national average and many new, modern schools, Meridian is considered a good place to raise a family. Abundant healthcare facilities, growing businesses, rising home values and close proximity to Boise make it very attractive to transplant families from outside the state. And while it doesn’t sit at the very base of the foothills, it does offer quick access in any direction to all of the outdoor recreation enjoyed by Treasure Valley residents
